Chongqing is featured by footpaths with picturesque scenery on both sides. There are some footpaths recommended for you to have a walk with friends.

Chongqing No. 3 Footpath

Located in south Yuzhong Peninsula, it stretches through the Municipal Sun Yat-sen Hospital, Kangjian Auditorium, Bodhi Adamantine Tower, Former Residence of French Benevolence Cathedral, Air Plank Road and other places, with a total length of 1,748 meters. Nanshan Huangge Old Footpath

It is well-known in Chongqing for its long history of 800 years. It used to be a must-travel path for merchants from Sichuan and Guizhou Provinces. It was called as the“Silk Road” of Chongqing. Along the Road, there are several historical sites, which belong to the Twelve Scenic Sites of Chongqing. Today, it has finished its service as an important traffic hub; however, it’s still attracting many visitors to have a walk and do exercise here.

Longji Mountain Footpath

Stretching beside Nanshan Academy of Chongqing Technology and Business University, it’s a path full of untamed landscape. Following this path upward, two trails leading to the top show up, which will emerge into a loop. The uphill path on the southeast side is even, and the flagging is broad, with green trees, quality air and serenity along the path. The uphill path on the northwest side is rugged, without a flagging, but there are artificially carved grooves for you to have a sit. For high places, you need to use your bare hands to climb on.

Gele Mountain Footpath

It starts from Gele Mountain Cable Station beside Baigongguan and ends at the back door of Gele Mountain Forest Park. It’s 2 kilometers in length, with a total of 1,956 steps. Along the Footpath, shades are under green trees. Walking on it, you can not only appreciate the natural landscape and China’s revolutionary history, but also have a bird’s eye view of the panorama of Shapingba. On weekends, you can see many parents bringing their kids here to have a family trip.

Tieshanping Fitness Footpath

Surrounded by thriving vegetation, including a large number of pine trees, camphors and bamboos, it boasts with scenic spots of various size. In your spare time, you can bring your family here to have a walk, breathe the fresh air, and feel the mother nature. When you are tired, you can find an agritainment here to have a break.

Jiandao Mountain Footpath

Located in Jiandao Mountain Forest Park, it consists of mountains including Jiandao Mountain, Bitou Mountain, Shiyakou Mountain, Erlongcao Mountain and so on. Along the Footpath, there are many free scenic spots for you to enjoy. As a steep mountain, Jiandao Mountain is a great place for you to work out and go hiking. What’s more, after hiking, you can also visit Huayan Temple for an incense in pursuit of a peaceful mind.
